1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Clarimedia websites, course materials, or related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Services & eligibility

The Services include media literacy educational content, lessons, assessments, downloadable materials, and support channels. The Services may evolve over time, and we may add or remove features.

2.1 Availability

We aim for reliable access, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Temporary downtime may occur for maintenance, upgrades, or due to events outside our control.

2.2 Eligibility

  • You must provide accurate information when you register or contact us.
  • If you are under the age of majority, you may use the Services only with consent and supervision of a parent/guardian.
  • You may not use the Services if doing so would violate applicable laws or regulations.

3. Accounts & security

Some parts of the Services may require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

  • Use strong, unique passwords and keep your authentication factors secure.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.
  • We may disable access to protect you, other users, or the integrity of the Services.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Services responsibly and lawfully. The following are prohibited:

  • Attempting to access or probe systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
  • Interfering with the Services (e.g., denial-of-service attacks, malware, abusive automation).
  • Sharing or reselling access to paid content unless explicitly permitted in writing.
  • Uploading content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing, or hateful.
  • Copying, scraping, or harvesting content at scale beyond typical personal use.

4.1 Community & classroom integrity

If the Services include community features, you agree to keep discussions constructive and to respect the learning environment. We may moderate or remove content at our discretion.

5. Payments

If you purchase paid access, you agree to pay the listed fees (including applicable taxes) at the time of purchase. Prices and offerings may change; changes will not affect purchases already completed.

5.1 Billing & authorization

  • You authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your payment method for the purchase amount.
  • If your payment fails, access to paid features may be delayed or suspended until payment is completed.

5.2 Promotions

Promotions or discounts may have specific terms, time limits, and eligibility requirements. Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the product type, the time since purchase, and the extent of access used. Where required by law, we will honor statutory rights.

6.1 General policy

  • If a refund is available, it will be issued to the original payment method where possible.
  • We may deny refund requests in cases of fraud, abuse, or repeated refund patterns.
  • For one-time digital purchases, refunds may be limited after substantial consumption of content.

6.2 How to request

Use the Support button at the top to contact us. Include the purchase email, date, and a brief explanation so we can assist quickly.

7. Content & intellectual property

The Services and all associated materials (including text, lesson structures, designs, and branding) are owned by Clarimedia or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

7.1 License to you

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your learning, subject to these Terms.

7.2 Restrictions

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from our materials, except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
  • You may not remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

8. Privacy

We respect your privacy and aim to handle personal information responsibly. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of information as needed to provide and improve the Services and to comply with legal obligations.

  • We may use essential cookies for site functionality and optional cookies for analytics or preferences, where applicable.
  • You can manage cookie preferences using the cookie banner controls.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Educational content is for informational purposes and does not constitute professional advice. You are responsible for how you interpret and apply what you learn.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clarimedia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of the Services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims relating to the Services will be limited to the amount you paid to us for the applicable Services during the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or possible legal exposure, or compromised the integrity of the Services.

  • Upon termination, your license to access paid or restricted materials will end.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, business practices, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will indicate when changes take effect.

If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice (for example, by posting a notice on the site). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to our support team. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
